The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY) is a voluntary youth movement which promotes intangible aspects of Indian cultural heritage by promoting Indian classical music, classical dance, folk music, yoga, meditation, crafts and other aspects of Indian culture. The RLAC chapter of SPIC MACAY has had a commendable history of successfully organised events, hosting a string of renowned artists such as Abhay Rustum Sopori ji, the Indian Santoor player and composer, including Hindustani vocal recital by President Awardee Smt. Mita Pandit, and a miniature painting workshop conducted by Dr. Sneh Gangal to name a few under the guidance of Advisor Spicmacay RLA, Dr. Rakesh Kumar and Convenor, Dr. Urvashi Kuhad. The SPIC MACAY RLAC Chapter constantly strives to bring forth the best of Indian classical and folk culture, while also encouraging young people to partake in the ever-growing traditions.
