Andaaz : The Anchoring Society

Andaaz is the anchoring society of Ram Lal Anand College. The society aims to create a community of anchors fluent and creative both in Hindi and English. Andaaz has prominent content writers and graphic designers and is concerned with creativity, art and imagination. Andaaz is divided into Anchoring, Content Writing and Graphic Designing, and all these domains work as a single unit. The society trains its members in the art of communication, especially oratory skills, which in turn would help them in both their professional and personal lives.

ANDAAZ

ANDAAZ, the one and only anchoring society of Delhi University stands proud and determined with the notion of more confident and unparalleled youth, who is unafraid and possesses the power of spontaneity to talk on every topic given to him/her.

For the session 2020-21, the world was engrossed with the grief of the pandemic, but we very sportingly took a step further and were successfully able to help the aspiring Anchors to master the art of public speaking and anchoring by requesting a video consisting some Golden tips and tricks, from the very finest Anchors: G D Sayal and Nishant Parmar. Andaaz launched its new series 'Andaz Apna Apna' where our very own members shared their hands on experience, which they gained while being on that big stage which is feared by many, in APNE APNE unique ANDAAZ.The purpose of this series was to start a conversation, we aimed to reach out to all of the aspiring anchors in the comfort of their own home and share our lived experiences which might encourage them to go on that stage!

Moving forward with the vagabond, Season 2 of Andaaz Apna Apna was all about anchors interacting with us directly! We curated a list of Anchors and Public Speakers who took over our Instagram handle for a day! One had a sneak peek into the lives of the anchors for a whole day, interact or catch them live exclusively on ANDAAZ's Instagram.

We were successful enough to organize the first ever Anchoring Workshop covering every domain and aspect of public speaking and content writing byMs. AnjileeIstwal (Associate Anchor and Editor, NDTV), Mr. Shashank Singh (Anchor and Senior Editor, NDTV) and Ms. Amisha Gupta (Emcee and Public Speaking Coach).And last but definitely not the least, we organized Delhi Univerty’s largest Public Speaking Event, “Manch-E-Staan”, that received so much love and appreciation throughout the country in the form of participation.

OUR OFFICE BEARERS:

AAYUSHI KHANDELWAL, the president, KIRTI GARG, the vice president and SAAVY GUPTA, the Secretary of the societyhas worked day and night to ascend the name of the society and college to greater heights.
